The estate of “Gut Petronell”, picturesquely situated on the right bank of the river Danube, is part of the “National Park Donau-Auen” and lies between Vienna, Bratislava and Lake Neusiedl. Surrounded by historic buildings and beautiful gardens, as well as fields, meadows and natural riparian forests, one also finds large parts of the partly reconstructed Roman city of Carnuntum.

In these beautiful surroundings “Gut Petronell” manages an organic agriculture and forestry, and associated hunting, and fishing on the river Danube, as well as a range of historic buildings surrounding Petronell castle. The business activities of “Gut Petronell” also include urban real estate properties whose structural developments and maintenance are carried out almost entirely by own company employees . In further addition both youth and social projects fall within the extensive fields of activities of the company.

The current management team considers its work and its environment in a holistic sense. In addition to the appreciation and maintenance of existing facilities and structures, and the provision of jobs, special attention is paid to natural diversity and sustainability.
