Proactive, contemporary & sustainable.
Renewable energy.
In response to the increasingly pronounced effects of climate change and the growing need for our country to become energy independent, we have been supporting the development of renewable energy sources since 2007.
In cooperation with strong partners, we produce green energy, primarily in the form of wind power, which saves around 9,000 tons of CO2 every year.
At the same time, we produce enough energy to cover our own needs and those of our business thanks to our 400-kWp rooftop photovoltaic system.
Other renewable energy projects are currently in the development phase and could contribute to annual savings of around 65,000 tons of CO2 and would therefore make an important contribution to climate protection and the domestic energy transition.
With a biomass district heating plant, which we feed with wood from our own forest and electricity from our own pv system, we supply around 5,000 m² of usable area of our estate with sustainable heat.

Carnuntum.
Approximately 250 hectares of our premises are located on ancient Roman sites, including the former civilian city, the forum, the palace ruins, and the amphitheatre with its gladiator school – the only one of its kind.
We have been cooperating closely with state archaeologists since the very first excavations. Almost all of today’s excavations are on the former site of the estate administration. In addition to providing storage space and carrying out machine maintenance, we provide manpower, equipment and free parking for large Roman festivals. In addition, there are regular investigations of underground urban areas using the latest survey methods, and continually unearthing exciting new discoveries.

In addition to two forest playgrounds, where our Petronell nursery children learn all about the wonders of nature, we accommodate scout groups every year as they explore our forests and waters and pick up skills for their later life. Refugee aid.
Many of these families stayed on and are now well integrated into our society. In the most recent wave of refugees, we took in two Afghan families and one Iraqi family.
Amidst all of this, Hairala, a lovely, little Iraqi boy, was born. Having fled the horrors of the war in their country, two Ukrainian families have now also found a home with us.
We also donated a company pick-up with a trailer packed full of all manner of essential relief supplies which went to Ukraine to help people there.
We see charity and aid in crisis situations as a core company tradition.
Refugee aid.
Many of these families stayed on and are now well integrated into our society. In the most recent wave of refugees, we took in two Afghan families and one Iraqi family.
